How to Zip Files in Mac: The are situations where you’ll need to archive or zip a file maybe to reduce the size or send it easily to someone.
Zipping files on Mac is quite easy, based on the fact that you don’t require an external program to do this, the zipping tool is embedded in the Mac OSx.
How to Zip Files in Mac OS X
You can use this to create zip files of files, folders, or both:
Step 1: Locate the items to zip in the Mac Finder (file system)
Step 2: Right-click on a file, folder, or files you want to zip
Step 3: Select “Compress Items”
Step 4: Find the newly created .zip archive in the same directory
when a file is being zipped, the zip archive will maintain the standard file name and have the “.zip” extension.
When more than one file is being zipped, the archive will be named “Archive.zip”, and if plenty archives are created, they will be named successively “Archive 2.zip” and so on.
How To Unzip A FIle In Mac Os X
Unzipping a zip in Mac is as easy as zipping it up, all you have to do is Simply right-click
