Updating WhatsApp on your iOS device is quite easy and without stress, you are given the option to upgrade your WhatsApp app, only when the is a new update available.
How To Upgrade WhatsApp On iOS Device
Step 1: Connect to the internet.
Step 2: Locate and open your iOS app store on your iPhone.
Step 3: Click on the Updates button( An arrow facing down ⇩). Scroll down till you see the WhatsApp option, then choose it.
On your search bar, type “WhatsApp” then select the official WhatsApp page.

Step 1: Connect your device to the internet.
Step 2: Locate and launch your Android Play Store.
Step 3: On the left part of your screen, click the three horizontal lines “☰“.
On the search bar, type “WhatsApp” then select the WhatsApp option, skip Step 4 and 5.
Step 4: Choose the “My Apps and Games” option. It is usually the first option.
Step 5: Normally, the “Apps and Games” options lead you to the “Update” section, if it doesn’t choose the “Update” section, then scroll down till you see “Whatsapp“.
Step 6: If there’s an update available, the option will be presented to you there. Click the “Update” button to then start Update.
Allow App store to download and auto installs the new version of WhatsApp.
Alternative Way To Update Whatsapp On Android
1. They are sites where you can get WhatsApp updates from. I wouldn’t suggest these sites here cause they pose a lot of security threats.
You could install malware to your device or a crazier virus. If you want to use this method, follow this link you’ll see options.

2. Tell a friend who has the latest Whatsapp application to send it to you, via Xender, Zapya or Bluetooth.
When you update WhatsApp from any of the App Stores( Android Play Store or Apple Store) your settings, chats, etc will not be lost.
To be on the safe side, I’ll suggest you back-up your WhatsApp.
How To Backup WhatsApp On Android
Step 1: Open your WhatsApp
Step 2: Tap on Menu > Settings > Chats > Chat backup. Tap “Back up to Google Drive“.
Step 3: Select your preferred Google account for the backup. If there’s none connected, you’ll be prompted to connect one.
Your first backup might take some time, I strongly suggest you have enough data before going ahead.
Backing up your chats to your Google Drive doesn’t consume any space.
