How To Uninstall App On Mac: Good day! Hope you are good? It is quite easy to uninstall an app on mac as compared to a Windows PC. You could uninstall an app on a mac by dragging its icon from the application folder to the trash.
Stubborn Mac software might resist this simple method and prove stubborn. In your Windows OS, programs or apps are installed with a special installer wizard and often but not, Windows programs need this installer wizard to remove this application.
On your Microsoft PC, software developers have been given the freedom to install pieces of their programs in any location across the C: boot drive. This poses a security risk, it also makes uninstalling executable programs a stressful task.
Mac on the other hand, makes things differently when you want to Uninstall App On Mac. The launch of Mac OS X in 2001 added a feature in which System files were
separated from the user’s workspace. Mac programs are naturally stored in /Applications directory while the Programs configuration is kept in ~/Library/Preferences.
Most times, very necessary supporting files are stored in the ~/Library/Application Support and /Library/Application Support. Programs that are in the Application folder are just bundles of multiple files combined together.
All a Mac user has to do here double-click on the program’s icon – or click once for a shortcut in the Dock – and the program will launch, getting all the resources it requires that is stored in the application package and any other place.
