How To Go Incognito On Mac With Chrome
Step 1: Open Google Chrome. On your Mac device, you should find it in the Applications folder.
Step 2: Click ” ⁝ ” It’s near the top-right corner of the browser.
Step 3: Click “New incognito window“. A new Chrome window will open to a tab that says “You’ve gone incognito.”
you’ll also notice that there’s a tiny icon at the top-left corner of the window that has a hat and glasses.
Step 4: Navigate to the address bar and add a website you want to view. As long as you use this window, Chrome will not save cache, cookies, form fields,
and other site data to your computer. After you close this window, the browsing history (for this window only) will disappear.
- Your browsing activity may still be visible to your network administrator or internet service provider.
- You can save bookmarks and download files while in Incognito Mode.
How To Go Incognito On Mac With Safari
Step 1: Locate and Launch Safari
Step 2: Click on the File menu at the top of the screen and select New Private Window.
You can do it with a keystroke, hit Command + Shift + N to launch a new private browsing window.
Easy right? Once enabled, you can confirm it by the color of the address bar. A white bar means a normal session while a dark one confirms you’ve gone incognito.
