How To Check Your WAEC Result: Good Day!  Hope you are cool? The 2018/2019 May/June West African Examination Council(WAEC) is out. The head of WAEC of Nigeria National Office, Mr. Olu Adenipekun said about 1.5m students sat for the exams.

He disclosed that 92.3 percent of the participants have their results ready, while 7.68 percent which makes up the remaining candidate’s subjects are still being processed.

WAEC Body also said those candidates who aren’t indebted to the Examination Council will be able to access their results online with the help of their smart identity cards which they used during their examinations.

How To Check WAEC Result With Your Phone In 2019

This year, candidates are blessed with two different ways to check their WAEC results. They are:

1. Check Your WAEC Result Online
2. Check Your WAEC Result With SMS

How To Check WAEC Result Online

As opposed to many years back, you aren’t required to buy a scratch card to be able to check your WAEC result. The result checker pin and the serial number

which the candidate needs to check his or her result can be found easily on the candidate’s smart identity card which he/she used during the exam. Below are the steps to check your WAEC result in 2019.

Step 1: Make sure you have an active internet plan(Data/Mb) and a mobile device or general device that can access the internet.

Step 2: On your address bar type or click the link here to go to the result checking portal.

Step 3: Fill in your WAEC Examination Number in the box given to you.

Step 4: Choose the year you sat for the exams, in this case, it’s 2019.

Step 5: Choose your Examination type that is SCHOOL CANDIDATE RESULT.

Step 6: Enter your card Serial Number.

Step 7: Enter Your Card PIN.

Step 8: Click on the ‘Submit’ button to get your 2019 WAEC Result.

If you are unable to get your result or have any issue whatsoever, send an email displaying

  • The Error message you encountered.
  • Your Examination ID Number
  • The Exam type e.g WAEC
  • The year you sat for the exam

How To Check Your WAEC Result Through SMS In 2019

WAEC also offers you a means to check your results with your device most especially if you can’t access the internet. IT ISN’T FREE! And it might cost you credit, steps below.

Step 1: Purchase the WAEC Direct Scratch Card from any WAEC vendor.

Step 2: Send an SMS in this format WAEC*Exam Number*PIN*Exam Year to 32327. i.e WAEC*123456*1234*2019 to 32327.

Don’t add any space, replace it with your own details and send it in the format you see it above.

Step 3: Wait for your result to be delivered to you via SMS.

If you encounter a problem here, Email [email protected] or dial this telephone number 01-9049320.

The email should contain

  • The Error message you encountered.
  • Your Examination ID Number
  • The Exam type e.g WAEC
  • The year you sat for the exam

Details/Statistics Concerning The May/June 2019 WAEC Examination And Result

  • A whopping number of 1,596,161 registered for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination
  • 1,590,173 sat for the examination.
  • 1,468,071(92.32%) had their result ready as of 26th July.
  • 122,102(7.68%) had issues with some subjects the wrote and are currently being worked on? (As at 26th July)
  • 792,098 of the candidates that sat for the exams were Boys while 798,075 of the candidates were girls.
  • 64.18% of the candidates had five credits including Mathematics and English Language. Compared to 2018 who had just 50% there has been a 14.18% increase.
  • 512,657 females had five credits while 507,862 males had five credits.
  • 1,020,519 candidates got credits and higher in a minimum of five subjects.
  • 18,636 Nigerian Secondary school participated in the examination
  • Non-West African countries like Benin Republic, Cote d’Ivoire, and Equatorial Guinea had some schools who took the exams using Nigeria’s secondary school curriculum.
  • 180,205 students results were withheld due to examination malpractice.
  • 1,918 candidates were documented with different degrees of special needs.
