Steps To Connect AirPods To Mac

If you can’t find your AirPods after following the instructions above, take the steps here. Ensure your AirPods are well charged. Before we begin, I believe your AirPods are properly cleaned.

Step 1: Dock your AirPods in properly. Boot your computer to the welcome screen. It is possible to connect more than one device to your AirPod. However, it would be best if you disabled other devices that may compete for the device.

Step 2: Open the AirPod case, then press and hold down the pairing button on the back of the case.

Step 3: Go to Mac’s menu and click on the Bluetooth icon; It is often at the top right corner. If you can’t find the Bluetooth option, go to Apple menu and click System Preferences > Bluetooth.

Check the “Show Bluetooth in the menu bar” box. It makes the Bluetooth option easier to access in the future.

Step 4: In the BlueTooth preference menu, find and click on your AirPods. A Connection Request window pops up, Confirm your connection by clicking OK.

Most times, the above window may close before you click OK, click your AirPod again for the window to show.

If the sound still plays from Mac’s speakers, check the Bluetooth or Volume down menu to be sure it connected correctly.

Alternatively, you can turn off and on your Bluetooth for a while. If the issue persists, restart your Mac. Before this, ensure your AirPods isn’t connected to your iDevice already.
