You can do this by either log-in into the official PayPal site or with a password reset option from the mobile application.

Should I Save My Password In My Browser? 

I strongly advise against this, it is quite easy to retrieve a password stored in your browser. Your PayPal password is the same as your ATM pin, I guess you don’t keep your ATM pin anywhere.

How Do I Change Password In PayPal Inside PayPal Account?

If your aim is to beef up your PayPal security, that is you have access to your PayPal account, these steps are for you. You require a browser for this, both mobile or PC.

Step 1:
Open PayPal; With your device’s browser, open the official PayPal site. Paypal sites vary with your country.

If you are based in South Africa, your PayPal site will be different from one based in UAE.

Often, the official PayPal site will redirect you to your country’s PayPal after login in. Link below https://www.paypal.com/signin/

Step 2:
Click on “Log In” and input your current Paypal login details.

Click on Settings, it is represented by an ⚙️ icon. If you can’t find this option skip to step 4.

Step 4:
Click on your profile icon.Often it is represented by your picture in a circular frame. A drop-down menu should open, click on Settings ⚙️.

Step 5:
Locate and click the “Security” menu. You are presented with a list of security options available for your site, Select “Your Profile

CLICK ON “YOUR PROFILE” not Account Settings.

Step 6:
Locate the password option, at the far right you will find the ‘Edit‘ button, it may be represented by “Change“, click this.

In the boxes provided, fill in the details required.

Current Password: The password you logged in with.

New Password: Your intended password, it should be over 8 characters.
To spice it up, mix capital letters, numbers and special characters. Anything short of SECURE won’t be accepted.

Re-Enter Password: Here, re-enter your new password.

The password characters might be shown with an asterisk, so be sure of what you type in all boxes. DON’T WRITE THEM DOWN unless you know what you are doing.

Step 8:
When done, click on “Save” or “Change Password” it is a button placed under the form.

When you change password in PayPal an email will be sent to confirm your changes, they won’t add your new password to the email, so make sure you don’t forget the password.

Using your Paypal application, you can ONLY request a Password reset mail but can’t change it from the app.

From the link above, you will be presented with a form to fill your login details.(mobile)

The next page will ask for your password, below the password form is a link which reads “Having trouble logging in” or “Forgot Password“.

If you are using the mobile app, click on “Forget“. You’ll then be redirected to PayPal’s official site in your default browser.

Step 3:
In the “Can’t Log In” page, you are presented with three/two options to recover your lost password.

Step 4:
You might be presented with a captcha to solve.

On the next page, a verification option is presented to you. You can decide to verify yourself via text message, email or an automated phone call.

Step 6:
Get the security code PayPal sent to you, input it in the box provided. This code expires in 5 minutes.
